This commitment will ensure that:
• Safety is top priority in all our projects as conveyed in our ‘Safety First’ campaign
• Our activities will not have any detrimental effect on the environment or the community
• Our quality controls will not permit unsafe actions or practices to be undertaken
Chalcroft will pursue our commitment to these standards by ensuring excellence in training and education of staff, communication of relevant and specific information and working co-operatively and constructively in all aspects of projects from creation to completion.
The success of a safe, healthy workplace and environment is also attributed to a senior management commitment, as conveyed in the Directors Statement, and the ‘Safety First’ campaign adopted to highlight the companies dedication to a safe workplace. It is this and the pro-active approach Chalcroft has that will ensure objectives and targets can be met for all projects in a safe and efficient manner.

'Safety First Campaign'
Purpose: Increase awareness of a safe working environment and encourage a pro-active and positive culture.
How: Including ‘Safety First’ message within correspondence, memos, posters on sites and offices, displaying on hi-viz vests, jackets and hard-hats.
Why: Health & Safety is not just about paperwork and legislation. The core of a safe working environment is common sense, ownership, responsibility and communication. It is to encourage a positive culture within the company and all those associated with it, by:
• Increased communication and discussion regarding how works can be carried out safely and effectively.
• Identifying hazards before works commence including during design stage.
• Individuals taking responsibility of their own health and safety and not assigning it as a company problem.
• Leads to a reduction of near misses, accidents and injuries.
• Maintaining good working conditions and safe practices.
‘Safety First’ will ensure the health, safety, welfare and security of all those associated with Chalcroft and provide a positive culture from which to work within.
