Site Search
Chalcroft are able to undertake co-ordinated site searches for multiple sites to provide the infrastructure of a new network, or individual sites to fill in coverage gaps. Using knowledge and experience, sites are located with regard to planning and acquisition success as well as construction cost and radio coverage.
Acquisition
Chalcroft have the in house experience to manage the process of acquiring sites for a telecoms base station. We will establish the credentials of the site provider negotiate the terms and conditions for the acquisition and instruct and monitor solicitors to complete the legal process.
Survey
Chalcroft have staff experienced in detailed topographical survey and full dimension and level survey of existing greenfield and rooftop telecoms sites. We are able to quickly convert physical site features into accurate AutoCAD drawings. We fully understand the importance of attention to detail to facilitate the process of site design and construction.
Planning
Chalcroft have experience in negotiating with the Local Planning Authority to minimise the risk of a proposed site failing at the planning stage. We will draw on our experience of design and site finding to enable a site to be located with minimal impact on the local community and environment. We will liaise closely with the local community, including Councillors and the planning officers to insure that they support the application.
Photo montages
(include images of each stage) It is often beneficial to create a visual representation of a proposed site to use in support of a planning application or site provider agreement. Chalcroft have the software and skills to produce realistic photo montages of almost any proposed rooftop or greenfield base station.
Civil, Structural and Electrical Design
Chalcroft's telecoms design team have a combined experience of many years of design for all of the UK's major telecoms operators. A comprehensive collection of standard industry details, and working relationships with many industry suppliers, means that a tested solution can be quickly found for almost any design problem. Working closely with Chalcroft's construction and acquisition staff means that a beneficial sharing of knowledge and experience is encouraged. Lessons learnt on site are quickly incorporated into the design process.
CDM Planning Supervisor
Chalcroft are able to provide the full services of Planning Supervisor under the CDM Regulations. By minimising unnecessary paperwork and encouraging an active approach to risk assessment at the design stage, Chalcroft can benefit the safety of any construction project.
Construction
Chalcroft only uses it own workforce to build its sites and so has complete control of the build process. We have experience of building all types of telecom sites from Greenfield sites to rooftop sites large and small. The quality of our build is our number one priority so the customer is always satisfied and returns to Chalcroft time and again.
Rigging
As well as employing several staff certified in tower climbing, Chalcroft have established working relations with specialist rigging companies across the UK. We are able to provide services of tower erection, survey and maintenance, as well as head frame design and antenna rigging. Our experience of developing solutions for tower sharing with multiple operators has enabled site owners to maximise the potential of various tower types
Project Management
Chalcroft provide a dedicated project management resource to support telecoms design, acquisition and construction projects. We understand the demands of telecoms project management, with high levels of administration and short delivery times, and we use tried and tested management tools to promote best efficiency. Our financial system is accustomed to the workings of a telecoms project. Our project managers are technically competent and work closely with our clients to ensure project demands are fully appreciated.
